PRAWN ROAST

Ingredients

Prawns – 1/4 – 1/2 kg or around 30 – 35
Onion – 2 medium sized, sliced
Ginger-garlic Paste – 3 tsp
Curry leaves – 2-3 sprigs
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Fennel powder – 1 tsp
Oil – As required
Salt – To taste

Marinade

Yogurt 5 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Salt – To taste

Method

1. Marinate the prawns using the ingredients under marinade.
2. Fry prawn with oil.
3. Heat oil in a deep pan. Add the sliced onion, little salt and ginger-garlic paste. Saute until the onions are slightly browned. Cook until the oil separates, then add chilly powder. Saute for a few seconds, then add the fried prawns and curry leaves. Mix well. Cover and cook until the prawns are done, at medium-low heat. It wont take more than 10 – 15 mts.
4. Open the lid, add 1 tsp fennel powder and a few curry leaves. Stir fry for a few minutes at medium heat. Check for salt and pepper powder. Switch off.
